About Kitchener, ON

Kitchener is a large urban centre in Southwestern Ontario - its population of approximately 450,000 people makes it the fourth-most populous area in Ontario, but you wouldn’t know it from the city’s tight-knit, community-focused feel. Once known as the Town of Berlin, the city’s Germanic routes are still evident in the yearly Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest, which is the largest Bavarian celebration outside of Germany itself. During the rest of the year, Kitchener is a lively and inviting community that’s also a major economic powerhouse in the Waterloo Region.

Kitchener attracts a diverse scene of renters thanks to being home to both Wilfred Laurier University and University of Waterloo campuses, and the area attracts plenty of families as well. Though like most of Ontario its prices have shot up significantly in recent years, the community still has plenty of rental deals to be found for all types of units.
