The average rent for an unfurnished one bedroom apartment in March was $1,682 per month dropping from February&#8217;s $1,695 average. The average cost of a furnished apartment crept downwards too to $1,930 in March vs. February&#8217;s\u00a0 $2,050.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-8132 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/liv.rent\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/infographic-MARCH-FINAL-blog02.jpg\" alt=\"Average Rental Prices in Vancouver - Unfurnished vs. Furnished\" width=\"800\" height=\"497\" srcset=\"https:\/\/liv.rent\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/infographic-MARCH-FINAL-blog02.jpg 800w, https:\/\/liv.rent\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/infographic-MARCH-FINAL-blog02-300x186.jpg 300w, https:\/\/liv.rent\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/infographic-MARCH-FINAL-blog02-768x477.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Highest vs. Cheapest Rent in Vancouver<\/h2>\n<p>Surrey has the lowest average rent for a 1 bedroom unit at $1371 compared to Downtown Vancouver&#8217;s average of $2076 for a comparable apartment.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Remember though, despite paying premium rates to live in Vancouver, tenants are saving in other ways, primarily, on car-related expenses (vehicle, insurance, fuel and repairs).
