Furnished units experienced a higher drop, decreasing by (-3.18%) to $2,328, while unfurnished units saw a slight decrease of (-0.48%), bringing the average to $2,359.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Downtown Vancouver tops the list as the priciest rental market<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>This month, Downtown Vancouver remains the city&#8217;s most expensive neighbourhood for renters, with an unfurnished one-bedroom apartment averaging $2,772\/month. By contrast, the same type of unit in Vancouver&#8217;s most affordable area, Sunset-Victoria Fraserview, rents for $1,928\/month\u2014a difference of $844 each month. Investing in manual data collection means that we only consider the current month\u2019s listing, since we can filter out duplicate listings and older ads that haven\u2019t been removed. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Another key difference between our data collection methods and some government agencies like the CMHC is that we only include current asking rent prices.
